I booked for a table of five, including three children of 10, 8 and 4 year old kids. The Rep from this restaurant did asked for the age of the kids and explained to me that there would only be 20% discount on the two young kids and that it would be full price for the 10 year old kid. When I came, they said that they had no record on their booking sheet that I have kids and would not let me in. They said that they put us next to a table of business men and they would not want "a lot of kids" around. When I asked if I could make a formal written complain to the manager, the man gave me only one word "KEN" on the card. I told him that it would be rude if I address the manager with his first name only and that I should be given his full name, and he told me that he does not know his manager's last name. I've been to this restaurant quite a lot with my co-workers. We were there once as the whole organisation with around 40 staff! I would not come there again, ever, after last night incidence!
ReplyDeleteMainly Asian cuisine, Jap sushi rolls, Chinese XiaoMai, HaGao, Roast Duck (NOT Peking Duck), Chicken Corn soup, Cantonese Soup etc!! Fried calamari, scallops, prawns all good. Oysters though were OFF!! Peeled prawns were thawed out and tasteless. Steaks were tough & dry. Fish was CANNED Tuna!! Desserts were mainly Asian Mousse Cakes, custards (NOT Creme Brule) usual diced fruits and ice cream. $50 per head however is DEFINITELY NOT VALUE FOR MONEY!!! Staffed entirely by Chinese and service was very attentive. Manager (the one with glasses & moustache) is ARROGANT, UNCOUTH & BLOODY RUDE. I'm Asian and this fool even embarasses me. My guess he is also the owner and therefore feels himself untouchable. Apart from the nice location I advise you to GO ELSEWHERE for a BUFFET. This place is NOT worth the price you pay.
